About Roofing Penney Farms: Repair First, Straight Talk on Replacement
We are a roofing company that looks for the repair first. When a split pipe boot, a lifted shingle tab or a rusted flashing seam is the real problem, we fix that part. When the decking is soft or the shingles are worn out, we explain why a new roof makes more sense.

Why we start with the part that failed
Most roof leaks begin at a handful of predictable spots. The neoprene collar on a plumbing vent dries out and cracks. Step flashing where a roof meets a wall was never sealed properly. Nails back out and lift a shingle, or a valley holds leaf debris until water runs under the edge. A repair at the right spot costs far less than a new roof and can keep a sound roof working for years.
Repair is not always the honest answer, though. If heavy amounts of granules are washing into your gutters, if shingles have lost their adhesive seal and flap in every afternoon thunderstorm, or if the plywood decking flexes underfoot from years of slow leaks, a patch only moves the next leak a few feet over. In those cases we show you what we saw and lay out why roof replacement or metal roofing is the better use of your money.
Our goal on the first visit is to give you enough information to decide. You hear the cause, the fix, what moves the price and what can safely wait. We would rather earn your next call than sell the bigger job today.
How we work on your roof
- 01
Cause named before price
A ceiling stain is often several feet downslope from where water actually enters. We trace it back to the source and explain it in plain terms before any number goes on paper.
- 02
Photos of what we found
We photograph the cracked boot, the loose flashing or the soft decking so you see what we saw up top. Those photos also help with a claim, and we work directly with your insurance adjuster on storm damage claims.
- 03
Line-item estimates
Labor, materials, decking replacement and permit costs are listed separately. If the wood under the shingles turns out worse than expected, we stop and show you before anything is added.
- 04
Your home protected while we work
Tarps go over shrubs and the AC unit, and ladders are secured. Before we leave, a magnetic sweeper runs over the driveway and lawn, and we clear shingle grit out of your gutters.
Where we work
We serve Penney Farms and neighboring communities across northeast Florida, including Middleburg, Green Cove Springs, Asbury Lake, Fleming Island, Orange Park, Oakleaf Plantation, Lakeside, Bellair-Meadowbrook Terrace and Fruit Cove. After a storm passes, we offer free post-storm inspections so you know whether a few shingles need resealing or the damage reaches the decking.
